It was kept in a storage facility for most ofits life. The first owner purchased this car brand new in 1953. He only drove itin the summer months, keeping it in storage the rest of the time. He put 31kmiles on it in nearly 60 years. When he was older and had lost his driver'slicense, the story is that he would sneak out at night and drive the car, so hiskids finally had to take the car away. It has a straight-eight 288cid motor and a 6 volt electricsystem. There is also a newly painted engine and engine bay with packard graypaint that is period correct. Recent improvements -- new title front and rearbrake wheel cylinders new brake master cylinder new front and rear brake shoesnew gaskets and seals new battery a completely cleaned gas tank a rebuiltcarburetor a completely new exhaust system exterior -- a period correct packardgalahad green small drips from transmission some nicks and scratches from its 64year old life chrome is good, some brown tint at left front no significant rustbody is straight all of the windows are in very good condition and roll up anddown like they were brand new. All doors open and shut smoothly. Trunk issuper-clean with original jack nearly new whitewalls are excell.

Vehicle originally fromwestern united states. Absolutely no rust, rot or plastic filler any where oncar. Sheet metal as solid as day it was built. Although thevehicle is mostly original, fair wear and tear dictates that some featuresrequires replacement due to age. The brake system has had all wheel cylinders,brake hoses and brake lines replaced. Stainless brake lines were used. Newstainless fuel lines with a electric fuel pump to aid in starting after longperiods of storage. Vehicle starts easily with mechanical fuel pump. I do notuse ethanol gas in this vehicle. In 245 hp v-8 runs strong and quietwith excellent oil pressure. Engine does not smoke. Vehicle has esamatic power brakes, monroe power steering and vintage airconditioning which certainly makes it pleasure to drive on hot summer days. Vehicle has torsion level system with all new electrical components. All newbushings upper and lower front support arms. New pin kitsupper and lower support. Easily keeps up with modern traffic. Clock and radio not working. All lights including turn signals and stop lightswork fine. Vehicle has lap belts for front seat passengers. Vehicle wasrepainted and interior reupholstered by previous owner. Include service manual, parts manual, owners manual, and originalservice counselors. Due to strongwinds in wyoming one year the passenger side had stone chips in the paint, wheni purchased the car i had a professional shop completely strip the vehiclespaint to bare metal, no rust on the car what so ever. We primed and repaintedthe car back to its factory paint/i believe it was dupont at a cost of approx$45k. We went and removed all maintenance etc. Andreplaced all items with new but original spec's. Then we completely steamedout engine and repainted engine to factory specs. All 3 car heaters whereremoved, re-cored and i had the electric motor's rebuilt. Replaced almost300 ft of heater hose.
