This car has had onlythree owners from new and it shows. The drive train is a 351 w 2v c4transmission and 300 open rear gear set. This cougar has zero rust, the body isstraight, and all door, hood and trunk gaps are nice. It had one repaint yearsago and the paint is showing some ageing with a few nicks and very small chips,but it looks very good for a driver. The interior is very nice showing verylittle ware, no cracks in the dash pad and all trim is bright. New led bulbswere installed in the gauge pod and a replacement factory appearing tack wasinstalled in the clock delete bucket in the dash. (nice) other new installationsare: fuel tank & sending unit float, new shocks, replaced all external marker &signal bulbs, installed new flasher sequencer with a new digital unit, new accompressor, ac idler pulley bearings and expansion valve. I purchased the car from a dealer in santa fe, nm. The car spent most of its time in and around that area. The cougar was originally lime green with a vinyl top. When i bought the car it was white and the vinyl top had been removed. I was told the engine was rebuilt with 18,680 miles on the odometer. It has 21609 miles on the clock as of now. That is subject to change as i drive it a lot. I don not know it the odometer has rolled over. This is a numbers matching car. Since i have had the cougar, i put rack and pinion steering on it. It now has power steering and air conditioning also. I upgraded the sequencing directional lights with a digital controller. I replaced the original radio with an am/fm stereo system with a usb chip for music storage. The exhaust system was replaced front to rear with headers, flow master mufflers and new exhaust pipes. The three speed manual transmission was rebuilt and new u-joints were installed on the drive shaft. The original radiator was replaced and a fan shroud added. The water pump was changed. I replaced the fuel pump after i got it. Most of the rubber seals around the doors and windows have been replaced, as was the windshield. The brakes have been overhauled all around. It has new front shocks and new air shocks in the rear. AM/FM✔ Air Conditioning
