A rare find—a fully-restored 1959 t-bird convertible after the three-year series of the original two-seat thunderbirds, the 4-passenger second-generation bird opened up a totally new experience for fans of this model. The paint gleams and shows off the car’s great lines. All of the exterior chrome is in very good condition, giving a like-new appearance to this t-bird. The underside of the car appears free of rust, and the engine compartment is fully detailed. the seat upholstery is in excellent condition, and the door panels are in very good condition as well. The white convertible top looks like new and has probably never seen rain. Both it and the rear window are in excellent condition. Additionally, the power top functions as designed, stowing neatly—and automatically—into the trunk the 352 v-8 engine runs and drives like a new one. It starts right up and purrs while it is waiting to be shifted into gear. the automatic transmission shifts properly and smoothly as one would expect in ford’s “luxury sports car.” the whitewall tires speak to the effort to keep the car “as original” and are mated to 4 wire wheels which may be kelsey-hayes. The power brakes work properly and smoothly in bringing the car to a rapid and safe stop. This car also has a power seat, power windows, and power steering, and, when built, had air-conditioning (now inoperable). The am radio may work but would need a new antenna to be sure. All of the engine/systems monitoring gauges/lights (temperature, fuel, amp and oil pressure) work properly. Similarly, the lights, horn, windshield wipers and turn signals all work as does the speedometer. The back-up lights will require some attention. a thunderbird that looks like a show car and drives like a dream car!! One would have to look far and wide to find a nicer ‘59 thunderbird than this one. This car represents not just a great driving experience but a sound investment as well. Power Windows

This pristine drop-top's long body has obviously been pampered and exceptionally caredfor as its slick thunderbird blue 2-stage looks just as good now as the day it rolled off the truck. And, from itsgreat fit to its blemish-free panels, this ford is definitely one of the nicest factory cruisers on the planet! As one of the most enduring 'retro' designs ever created, the car's j mays-penned fuselage looks fantastic fromvirtually any angle. At the front of that fuselage, a bright chrome grille hangs small driving lights below clear,combination headlamps and a teal-inlayed thunderbird emblem. Behind that emblem, a composite hood centers atraditional thunderbird scoop in front of tinted factory glass that sports a stylish chrome frame. At the top ofthat frame, a performance white hardtop latches down over a standard haartz soft top to perfectly mimic ford'soriginal, 1955 dual-roof system. Below those roofs, chrome ventiports ride inside re-imagined fender lines thatlead the eye through body-matched mirrors to rear mounted "thunderbird." 50th anniversary badging on both frontfenders,enginewhen ford debuted the eleventh generation thunderbird it introduced a car that was faithful to the original conceptin virtually every way.
