The car popularized by magnum p. Ferraris are iconic in their own right but the 308 model became known to the general public thanks to tom selleck’s role in the tv series, magnum p. And, as an added bonus, the 308s are very affordable. Market in february 1981 and sold new in oklahoma city. This is a solid driver with nice cosmetics and strong mechanicals. It has traveled a total of almost 79,000 miles and only about 13,000 miles since its last major service twelve years ago. The car is virtually free of chips and scratches, having been continuously garaged. Post repaint, the bottom panels of the doors were redone and, while not noticeable, are a shade or two different than the rest of the car. The trim is in good condition as is the glass. the interior is finished in black leather that is in good condition except for signs of wear (see picture) on the driver’s seat, and looks great against the red exterior. The carpeting and door panels are all in good condition as well. Strong mechanicals this gts is the “i” series which designates the engine as the later, fuel injected model—a 3. 0 liter, dual overhead cam v-8 that is rated at 205 hp. The engine runs properly through all portions of its power curve making for exciting acceleration and driving. as impressive as the engine is in this 308, the rebuilt transmission makes the car a delight to drive. It shifts smoothly and the synchromesh transmission works smooth as silk on the downshifts. This is a car that is fun to drive whether going hard on a curvy mountain road or cruising around town. Comfort, safety and entertainment equipment the air conditioning on this ferrari works properly and blows cold, making it comfortable to drive even on the hottest days. All of the safety equipment (lights, turn signals, wipers and horn) work properly as well. Comoptions:description:it is my pleasure to offer for sale for the first time to the public s/n 15220this 1979 example s/n 15220 is near the end of the gt4 run. It comes in the original marrone with black boxer trim. It has a very rare sunroof . The mileage is shown at 14,180 and much documentation is provided to authenticate that mileage as correct. Full engine service with belts was done at 12,400 miles (email for any records). Car was stored for most of the past 10 years and was recently purchased and has been sorted out and brought to its best original condition. Period correct xwx michelins have been put on and all books, tool kit and pouch, jack and pouch, light and two keys are provided. An extensive service book along with substantial information on gt4s is also provided. This car looks great and has a very nice patina and glow. The marrone/boxer and tan combo is stunning. The car was just serviced and made road worthy. It is drivable but the clutch will need replacing soon. This car is best described as currently a very nice driver. As is it really looks sweet. But to maximize it as an investment grade car, a repaint may be the better path needed. As is, it has all the pedigree needed. Paint looks good at 10 feet, up close some fading and scratches and repaint. I have never used it as I always drive it with the top off. Wife says I've had my fun, the Ferrari has to go. Original mufflers and tail pipe replaced with straight loud one. I have the originals which I will be selling separately. I have driven it less than 1000 miles since then Air Conditioning
